We at Ibstock Town Cricket Club would like to welcome you to the Junior Section of our website.

The Junior Section of the Cricket Club is “Lifeblood” of the Club and has various teams catering for children from the ages of 6 yrs right through to 17 yrs.

The aim of the Club is to bring all the junior players through all the age groups and eventually challenge for a place in our senior teams.

The Club has in place a “Child welfare Policy” which is encouraged by everyone to read.

For more information on Junior Cricket please contact our Club Secretary

Ibstock Town Juniors are members of the Leicestershire and Rutland County Cricket Board and participate in the North West Leicestershire District Cricket League.

The Young Players are closley linked with the local schools to try and ensure all age groups within the locality are offered the opportunity to play cricket either at school or within the club. Last year we established a partnership with Ibstock Comunity College to encourage development of cricket within the local area

We are pleased to confirm that we now have ECB qualified coaches at Ibstock.

ITCC are in the process of gaining "Club Mark Accreditation."

Ibstock Town CC is one of a growing number of Cricket Clubs that take the welfare of children at their club incredibly seriously. By taking the time to work towards Club Mark Ibstock Town CC has shown its commitment to its junior players and to its wider local community.

The Club Mark logo is recognised by both ECB and Sport England and it tells teachers, parents, community leaders, Local Authorities, funding agencies and all those with a responsibility for the welfare of young children that Ibstock TownCC is a safe place for children to enjoy playing cricket.

The Club Mark logo proves the club has a :

  • Child Welfare policy
  • Specific personnel trained in Child Welfare issues
  • Comprehensive Insurance cover
  • The capability to deal administer First Aid where needed
  • Constitution that allows any child to play and get involved

More importantly it proves that Ibstock Town CC is a club that you can send your child safe in the knowledge they will be well looked after and enjoy their cricket.

The Club Mark Accreditation is a takes a lot of hard work to achieve - keep posted to this site where will be in the near future you will be able to share in the good news that ITCC have been awarded "Club Mark" Status.
