ENVIROMENTAL POLICY

Our Commitment

Ibstock Town Cricket & Social Club is committed to minimising any adverse impact on the environment from its activities and will in particular:

  • Strive to ensure the levels of land, air and water pollution to be as low as possible.
  • Comply with all local relevant environmental legislation.
  • Maintain an efficient and effective process of waste disposal, distribution and recycling in conjunction with Northwest Leics. District Council.
  • Continue to ensure that all activities that take place at Ibstock Town Cricket & Social Club will be as energy efficient as possible, in accordance with all local governmental guidelines where possible.
  • Encourage suppliers and contractors of any works or services provided to work within this environmental policy and to buy or use goods and materials from sustainable sources where possible.
  • Be aware of and actively support any environmental initiatives in the local and surrounding area.
  • Our Contribution
  • We will strive to ensure that The Coronation Ground Ibstock is as aesthetically pleasing as possible, when open to the local community.
  • We will continue to promote environmentally friendly and efficient travel plans and encourage car sharing wherever possible.
  • We will promote low waste usage, the re-use and recycling of waste and monitoring of waste transfer arrangements to ensure safe disposal.
  • We will continually explore new ways to reduce electricity use and water consumption during the cricket seasons.
  • We will continue to promote the recycling and re-use of personal cricket equipment and clothing.
  • We will continue to ensure that the ground equipment we use is regularly serviced and maintained to minimise any potential adverse affect on the environment.

 

Monitoring and Evaluation

Ibstock Town Cricket & Social Club will appoint each year a current committee member to be responsible for the co-ordination and implementation of the above policy.

This environmental policy will be monitored as an agenda item at the Clubs monthly management committee meetings and the policy document will be reviewed at the Clubs Annual General Meeting.
